That’s where I come in…

A year ago I was suffering from a slew of bad habits, but have since learned to rock some amazing systems to make sh*t happen in my life and business.

I dove deep into my subconscious mind, guys it was scary in there, and now it’s what I teach, because it really revolutionized my life.

So my question to you now is….what’s your biggest goal?

Close your eyes, yes right now, and just let the first image that comes to your mind show up.

What was it?

Did it surprise you, or is this something you’ve known that you wanted for a long time?

Either way…there is only one path to reaching that goal, and that is to make small daily changes with the help of your subconscious mind.

WHAT is THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND? Why does it matter?

The subconscious mind & your daily habits go hand in hand. This book, The Power of Habit, goes into a lot of detail about this! Totally worth checking that out. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

But basically the story goes like this, a man loses his memory like completely, and is still able to function in a new house because of one thing….habit!

He can still get himself a cup of tea, despite the fact that he can’t remember anything for more than 30 seconds. And that’s because his subconscious mind is controlling his actions.

The subconscious mind has one job in life….to protect you.

It started learning how to protect you as soon as you were born. It learnt that being too different from others meant social exclusion, acting up meant that your parents would get angry and punish you, touching a hot stove meant burning yourself.

The subconscious mind is truly amazing, and it does it’s job very, very well. It keeps you really, really protected. So much so that it can be hard to move out of daily life & into the big goals that you have because your subconscious mind will do anything to keep you in a familiar, comfort zone.

Let’s look at an example.

Sally wants to be an author. But she currently works as an accountant. She knows that writing a book, and sending query letters will bring her a published book.

But Sally’s subconscious mind learnt that when she writes honest things, like she did in school, her classmates will call her lame, or her teacher will give her a bad grade.

So even though, deep deep down, she wants to write honestly and share her talents…her subconscious mind is stopping her. It’s “protecting” her from ever reaching her goal of becoming a published author by shooting for close, comfortable things, like bingeing on netflix…until another year has passed and Sally’s book proposal sits gathering dust on a shelf.

The subconscious mind just wants to protect us.

Wants us to live within the confines of how things are because those are the things that the subconscious mind can control and feel safe around.

So to really access change in our lives, we need not only the power of habit, but we need to understand the subconscious mind.

HOW TO USE YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND TO YOUR FAVOR

Now that Sally understands her sunconscious mind a little bit better. She’s resolved to make a few, small changes in her life, to get to that BIG goal of publishing a book.

So she decides to pay attention, write in her journal, and figure out what’s been triggering her fear of stepping out of normalcy and into the career as an author that she’s always wanted.

She figures out that it was this one time that she wrote a deeply personal poem for class, had to share it, and then the rest of her class spent the afternoon laughing at her or ignoring her.

Even subconsciously, she made a vow that day, to blend in more & not be shunned by her peers (don’t underestimate the power of needing to fit in).

So now that she’s uncovered that, she’s able to consciously change the rhetoric of that day. She’s able to teach her subconscious mind that she can fit in, AND be an author by finding a local writer’s group where she can go and share her work in a supportive environment. Or even just call up a friend and ask them to read something of hers.

Boom! You rock Sally, you’re paying attention, and now when you’re ready to build the habit of writing every day, and when you’re ready to start making big moves like sending out query letters, you’ll be able to because your subconscious mind is helping you!

Whew! So your next steps? Download this freebie, it’s a habit tracker & subconscious mind workbook. It’ll walk you through all the next steps.
