I love cheap decoration.
I mean “cost effective” haha.
My hubby and I are a young couple, doing our best to earn money, so every little bit that we can save goes a long way!
That’s why I LOVE Ikea for stuff around the house.
And you know that’s where I turned when it came time to fill up our baby’s nursery.
The following is my haul of stuff from Ikea, and some ideas about how to put it all together for nursery organization, nursery decoration, and just pain nursery cuteness!

I won’t be linking all the stuff from Ikea, but I will be placing the pictures below! If you want more information about all the products you see in this post be sure to watch the YouTube video companion for this post! It has all the information you’ll need.
To begin with we got several different items for storage!
Here are some of my favorite items around the nursery.
The RISOTORP baskets in blue and white (pictured right) were only 10 euros a piece!
The SKUBB boxes are amazing (pictured left) and super cheap! Shown below are some of the uses I’ve made out of them already…and the nursery isn’t even finished yet!

Next up for storage is the shelving unit we already had around the house from Ikea!
Sorry don’t know the name as it came from a different room.
We had originally planned to hang some shelves from the wall, but later found out the only possible wall wouldn’t work because it was metal-plated.

Now comes the fun part! Putting up little decorations around his room.
Ikea won’t be the only place that we get decorations from for his nursery, but here are some of the super cute, and cheap decorations we found in Ikea.
The LINDRADE “dream” sign (pictured at the top of this shelving unit). This is such a cute, simple little sign that I thought went well with our mountain theme because it was made of wood!
Next up we got these adorable little SOMMAR animal figurines! There on with the theme and the color scheme which makes me a happy momma!
Plus, they’re cost effective which is awesome for our wallets.
For the rest of the decorations, I couldn’t exactly find the names but you can find them on the Ikea website.
We got some fake plants, and some wooden animal signs!

ikea nursery linens
The softest of all the categories :D and also the category that we got the most stuff in!
First we got a couple of sheet sets. The HIMMELSK (not pictured, but you can see it in the YouTube video here), the plain white LEN sheets (also not pictured, see them in the video here), and the TILLGIVEN blue duvet cover and pillowcase set (pictured to the right).
For the crib we got a mattress protector (pictured left) & mattress pad (pictured right) both called LENAST (idk, don’t ask me).
Then I got a crib bumper called HIMMELSK with cute little clouds on it! Adorable :D
Finally we got a wide array of little hand towels, bath towels, and even a beach towel for our little one!
Then my absolute favorite piece of everything we bought was this gorgeous INGABRITTA blue blanket. It’s got a loose stitch, super soft, and it will make a great little blanket for baby or for covering up mommy during nighttime feeds.
Plus it totally goes with the color scheme…score! You can see the blanket displayed here on the nursing chair right next to our Boppy.
This Ikea crib called GONATT (sounds suspiciously like gonads which yes made me laugh, and yes I’m going to have a baby which you’d think would make me automatically more mature…but hey).
This wasn’t my favorite of the Ikea cribs but my hubby chose this one, and married life is a constant compromise!
It was a pain in the you-know-what to put together, but it turned out pretty cute in the space! So win for my hubby.
Next up three gorgeous items, of which I do not know the names! A grey starry rug, some pegs (that I will be spray painting), and these awesome Ikea carts that you see everywhere!!
Tell us in the comments sections below…what would you get (or have already) from Ikea for your nursery?
